These eyesores have been around for a while, and now they are gone for good!

Walt Disney once said, “Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world.” Disney continues to implement that idea because change is inevitable in the parks.

There are constantly new projects, refurbishments, and closures. From new rides and restaurants to shows and characters, there is always something new to experience in the parks.

Epcot Nighttime Show

One of those new experiences was the Epcot nighttime spectacular, Harmonious. The show was a beautifully crafted medley of classic Disney music and visuals reinterpreted by a culturally diverse group of 240 artists from all around the world.

The show itself was beautiful, but the “taco” barges in the World Showcase lagoon were a terrible eye sore. Disney announced the show would end in April 2023 before being replaced with another show later this year.

In the interim, Epcot Forever will entertain Guests at night.

No sign of barges

When the show ended last month, Disney slowly began to remove the barges. This process took several weeks due to the size of the barges and the quantity.

However, we are happy to report that Disney removed all the barges from the lagoon! Now, there is a clear sightline from the Port of Entry to The American Adventure and everywhere in between.

While I truly loved Harmonious (more than Enchantment), many will agree with me that these barges were not appreciated. They were necessary for the show’s effect, but boy were they ugly during the day!
