Springtime Surprise weekend is here! runDisney races always pull out some rare characters, but we were totally blown away by this completely NEW meet and greet that debuted.
Springtime Surprise
Springtime Surprise is the newest addition to the runDisney race weekends. This year’s event takes place from April 13-16, 2023. The final event in the 2022-2023 runDisney race season celebrates the power of friendship and the magic of Pixar with the Pixar Pals.
Racers are encouraged to celebrate the running buddies that keep them going, the support systems that cheer from the sidelines, and the iconic characters that lift each other up time and time again.

Earlier this week we saw rare characters from Toy Story AND Monsters, Inc. at the runDisney Expo! The 5k took place yesterday, and some lucky runners had the chance to meet some incredible characters! Check out who all was meeting at the 5k in this post.
10K race characters
For the 10k race, runners could meet some pretty fun and rare Pixar characters. Part of the race runs through the World Showcase at Epcot so runners got to meet characters like Remy and Emile in France and 4*Town in Canada.
You may be wondering “who is 4*Town!?” 4*Town is the boy band that Mei Lee is desperate to see perform live in the movie Turning Red.
Only one other character meet from Turning Red has ever debuted, and that is Mei Lee in panda form over in Shanghai. This marks the first Turning Red character meet to debut in the United States! Check out the video of them below. They were singing and interacting with runners!

- Woody and Jessie from Toy Story
- Mike, Sulley, and Needleman from Monsters, Inc.
