In September, Walt Disney World was greatly affected by Hurricane Ian. Walt Disney World closed for two days as Hurricane Ian made its course toward the Walt Disney World Resort. There was a phased reopening for the Disney Parks and some attractions had delayed reopenings due to possible complications from the storm.

Hurricane season extends through November, and we were hopeful that the turbulent weather was behind us. Last Friday, we shared that a new Tropical Storm was forming. Let’s check out the newest update for Tropical Storm Nicole.

Currently, a Tropical Storm watch is in place for the northwestern Bahamas. By the end of today, additional storm watches may be in place for other parts of the Bahamas and the coast of Florida.

At this time high winds of 25-40 mph and heavy rainfall are predicted this Wednesday and Thursday. Walt Disney World has not made an official announcement or altered operational plans at this time.
