Disney World is a sprawling property which can make getting around a bit tricky. Here are some transportation issues to be aware of in the coming days.

Hey, runners! Are you ready for the Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend? The special weekend starts TODAY and ends on Sunday! We send our love and best wishes to KtP Writer Heather as she runs this weekend!
The 5k is tomorrow, November 4 and the 10k is Saturday, November 5. The half marathon takes place on Sunday, November 6 and concludes with the post-race party at Epcot that evening.
Even if you are not participating in the races, they may impact your visit this weekend. Be sure to give yourself some extra patience and time to get to your destination.
Transportation delays
Due to the course of the races, roadways and parking may be impacted by the events. So far, we are seeing a push notification for Friday morning’s 5k. The 5K is a fun course where you can run around World Showcase! I love that they keep the majority of this race in the park!
We will likely see more delays in the early morning hours for these events. The Wine and Dine 10K starts and finishes in EPCOT too, but you also get to venture over to Hollywood Studios. I always think it’s a lot of fun when you can do multiple parks with these races.
This NEW Half Marathon course looks like a lot of fun! This course has SEVERAL BIG changes! The first big change is its starting location. This race used to start in the Magic Kingdom Parking lot and finish at EPCOT. Now you will start and finish your race near EPCOT. You will also start your race by running around the World Showcase versus running this portion at the end.
Then you venture to Hollywood Studios where you will run through Galaxy’s Edge! Unfortunately, after you leave Hollywood Studios there is A LOT of highway to cover before heading back to EPCOT.
If you are in the Epcot and/or Hollywood Studios area this weekend, definitely give yourself some extra time! Best of luck if you are running this weekend!
