A new refurbishment is scheduled for one of the most unique accommodations at any of the Disney World resorts.
Refurbishments are a part of life at Walt Disney World. It’s not uncommon for at least one attraction to be closed at any given time. Even resorts and transportation may close from time to time so Disney can perform updates.
Refurbishments may take place for various reasons. Whether it be for mechanical issues or cosmetic updates, a refurbishment can take place for many reasons. Based on the nature of the work, the refurbishment may be a few days or several months.
One deluxe resort is due for some upgrades soon.
Disney’s Saratoga Springs is inspired by historic Saratoga Springs, a late-1800’s New York retreat famous for its spas and horse racing. At this Disney Deluxe resort, guests enjoy this charming, Victorian-style Resort hotel is nestled between rolling golf course greens and Lake Buena Vista.
Disney’s Saratoga Springs resort covers over 65 acres, contains 18 guests room buildings, and is the largest resort on Disney property. Check out our guide to Saratoga Springs in this post.
Also situated on Saratoga Springs property are Treehouse Villas which are some of the most unique accommodations on Disney World property. It looks like Disney is ready to complete some work on them.
In recent permits filed, Disney wishes to do some general construction on four of the units. They may be doing work on a few at a time, so it’s possible we may see all 60 completed over the next few years.
At this time, Disney has not shared official plans for the Treehouse Villas. However, plenty of work is lined up for pools. Both Congress Park and Treehouse Villas leisure pools are closed for refurbishments. The good news is that these pools are set to reopen in early December 2022. This will be just before the lengthy pool refurbishment beginning in early 2023.
