Cosmic Rewind

This summer get ready to go back in time at Epcot! Cosmic Rewind launches on May 27 after months of anticipation.

This thrilling storytelling coaster invites guests on an intergalactic chase through time and space to help the Guardians of the Galaxy. This attraction will open in the World Discovery neighborhood of EPCOT.

It features Disney’s first ever reverse-launch! Additionally, it’s a first-of-its-kind programmable Omnicoaster ride system. This means Guests can be rotated along the ride track towards the action.

Previews

It seemed likely that special previews would come ahead of the grand opening. Thinking back to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure last fall, Disney held Cast Member, DVC, and Annual Passholder previews. Additionally, a D23 event for select members also occurred which gave them a special breakfast along with the chance to ride the attraction.

After announcing the opening date, Disney also shared Cast Member, DVC, and Annual Passholder previews this morning. While we do not have a date for those or registration information, they will likely take place this month and early next month.

D23 Previews

Now D23 is getting in on the preview fun with its own event. While this information is just as vague as the rest of the preview information, D23 assures us there will be an event. Read it below:

D23 Gold Members, stay tuned later this week for news about how you might be able to experience this attraction before opening day!

Since the statement says “later this week” that is probably when we can expect all the special preview information to drop for all special groups. Stay tuned with Kenny the Pirate!
