Heads up, February visitors! Disney World has updated theme park hours for select dates! Is your trip affected?
While February is a very nice time of year to visit, theme park hours are cut short because of the decrease in crowds. The exception to that trend is the week leading up to Valentine’s Day and President’s Day (the 14th and 15th, respectively). Check out the new hours below.
Magic Kingdom Changes
On February 7, Magic Kingdom will be open from 9 am to 8 pm (previously 9 am to 6 pm). From February 8 to 11, the park will close an hour later at 7 pm (previously 6 pm). It will open to Guests at 9 am as previously scheduled.
Finally, we have some resemblance of park hours before the closure with the park closing at 10 pm on both February 12 and February 13. The park will still open at 9 am.
Make sure you check out the Festival of the Arts happening now! Donna wrote a fantastic article highlighting all there is to see and do.
On both February 7 and 12, the park will be open from 11 am to 9 pm (previously 11 am to 7 pm). I am particularly excited about this because my son and I will be visiting EPCOT on the 12th, and I am looking forward to two extra hours! From February 8 through the 11, EPCOT will be open from 11 am to 8 pm (previously 11 am to 7 pm).
Finally, on February 13, Guests can enjoy the festival from 11 am to 10 pm (previously 11 am to 7 pm). That is 11 hours of time to soak in all the festival goodness!
Hollywood Studios Changes
Hollywood Studios is usually open 10 am to 7 pm most days since the reopening. It has only opened sooner on a handful of occasions. However, from February 7 to 13, the park will open at 9 am instead. It will still close at 7 pm all nights.
Animal Kingdom Changes
Animal Kingdom will be open for Guests from 8 am to 5 pm February 7 – 12. Previous hours were 9 am to 5 pm so you now have an extra hour in the morning.
Finally, on February 13, you can enjoy the park and all it has to offer from 8 am to 7 pm! Previously, hours were 9 am to 5 pm.
It seems as if Disney is gearing up for elevated crowds leading up to Valentine’s Day and President’s Day. Make sure you have a good touring plan! Character Locator is an invaluable tool to help you plan your Disney trip with ease.
