Live-Stream: Disney’s Riviera Resort Official Opening Ceremony

Disney is just days away from the grand opening of the newest resort, and they will be live-streaming the day’s festivities.

On December 16, join the #DisneyParksLIVE stream at 9:55 a.m. EST – right on the Disney Parks Blog website – and watch the grand opening celebration of Disney’s Riviera Resort!

Live from Disney’s Riviera Resort, see the dedication moment, listen to the music of the European Riviera, enjoy the entertainment, and toast the opening of the newest Walt Disney World resort and Disney Vacation Club property.

You’ll also be among the first to see Disney characters in their exclusive Disney’s Riviera Resort attire.

Riviera Resort is the newest resort to be opened at Disney World in the last 7 years (Art of Animation opened in 2012) and the 12th DVC resort. It looks to be an absolutely beautiful place for guests to spend their time at Disney.

The theme of Riviera is inspired by the grandeur of Europe – think fairytale castles and storybook villages. There are some truly beautiful works of art displayed in and as part of the resort, including mosaic murals on the grounds and a unique art collection in the lobby. Check out some of the newest details Disney has revealed.

It is also part of the Disney Skyliner route, making transportation to Epcot and Hollywood Studios effortless.

The full menus for the resort’s restaurants and lounges have recently been revealed. There will be a character meal at a table-service restaurant (with amazing rooftop views, Disney boasts) as well as a few quick-service options. There is also a lounge for unwinding after a long day in the parks.

Guests can purchase Disney Vacation Club contracts for Riviera or rent points from rental sites for their hotel accommodations. Be aware that Disney has updated the points needed for stays at DVC resorts for the year 2021.
