Hyperspace Mountain is leaving Disneyland Park this summer
Hyperspace Mountain is one of my favorite Disney Parks rides. It takes the class Space Mountain ride in Disneyland and turns it into a great Star Wars experience complete with music, sounds, projections and laser blasts. Well, unfortunately, it's going away this summer.
On June 1, 2017 the classic Space Mountain version will return to Disneyland park. It's still a terrific ride, and much smoother than the Walt Disney World version, but it's sad to see this terrific experience go away.
Did you prefer the classic version or Hyperspace Mountain?
Haven't been to DL in 16 yrs... we live in FL now. Wish WDW had the Indiana Jones ride here & the Matterhorn, too!
Space Mountain is my favorite ride of all time. We went to DL last summer and the whole family loved Hyperspace Mountain! Sad to see it go.

I think it's so neat that DL gets so many ride overlays and seasonal updates. Jingle Cruise is the only WDW one I'm aware of. Wish they would do more of these at WDW.
I prefer classic space mountain
So sad! We are making our 1st trip to DL late this summer, and this was definitely on the list of must dos as everyone in our family is a huge Star Wars fan. I'd love to see this extended until the end of summer, but know we're going to have a great time either way! Thanks for helping us keep our expectations real! I've never experienced Hyperspace Mountain at DL (only the classic version) but I can't wait to try it once it opens at Disneyland Paris! *crosses fingers*
Theirs even has inversions, etc, so it should be pretty awesome. Will I see you there, Kenny??? ;)
I didn't really care for Paris version, but haven't experienced the Hyperspace one. It was far to jerky for me.
