Pirates of the Caribbean has experienced a number of negative issues in recent months. At least two guests suffered major injuries and the boats have been troubled with filling with water from the back.
In order to rectify the situation with the boats, Pirates of the Caribbean will close from May 11 through September 25, 2015. That means that guests visiting during the busy summer season will totally miss out on riding this classic attraction. We can hope that Disney World will make some additional improvements to the attraction during its refurbishment as well.

That is indeed a real bummer for guests visiting during that time, Peter Pan's Flight was closed for one of our last November trips. I sure hope that they get the refurb done on time or ahead of schedule.
