Over the last few years, StitchKingdom has done a pretty incredible job discovering Disney Parks promotions well in advance of the upcoming promotion. They recently found some interesting information that links to a possible campaign that could be known as Share Your Disney Side.
“We found these images belonging to Allison Miller, a senior art director at mcgarrybowen whose portfolio includes print and video assets from several big corporate clients, including Disney Parks. As it turns out, mcgarrybowen actually worked on the ‘Let the Memories Begin‘ campaign as well as Disney’s ‘I Am A Princess.’ Featured are two print ads which appear to be Disney fans participating in a cult(ural) phenomena known as Disneybounding – the art of combining off-the-rack clothing to represent a Disney character (such as Minnie Mouse or Woody, as seen here). Although Miller’s site refers to the images as ‘Find Your Disney Side,’ the images are inconsistent and given the domain name registration, ‘Share Your Disney Side’ is more likely to be accurate.
The advertisements read: ‘(Find/Share) Your Disney Side. Everyone has one. So this year, let loose, come play and bring out the fun in your family at the place where dreams come true. It all begins at DisneyParks.com.’
