  1. Hi Kenny, we have Fantasmic VIP seats for the first show. How do we get into position for the symphony fireworks?

    • That’s a tough one. You’ll need to be among the first to leave and hurriedly make your way to Hollywood Boulevard or Echo Lake.

  2. I’ve never been to MGM during Star Wars weekend. We are going for my daughters birthday, we planned on going there mainly for Sofia and the Disney Jr area and to see the beauty and the beast show. Also we have a reservation at Hollywood and vine. But How does it work? Does the entire oark shut down and turn into Star Wars?? Will we only see Star Wars characters or will there be normal characters? Is the beauty and beast show even open or is that SW events only? I’ve heard the crowds for SW weekend is crazy, and especially since it’s opening weekend. Should we scrap MGM and just do magic kingdom Saturday? And then go to MGM on Monday? What’s your recommendation?

    • Most characters continue regular meets. Minnie, Donald and Goofy change for SWW. Mickey is two costumes. BatB will be mornings only. Schedule. Funny that you still call it MGM :) If you aren’t interested in SWW, go on Monday for lower crowds.

  3. What exactly is “An Ewok’s Tale” and “Star Wars Rebels”? I grabbed FP+ for both because they sounded like something my son would enjoy but I didn’t see a description anywhere. Thanks Kenny!!

  4. I was excited to see weekend 5 FP+ open this morning… but they all say “closed for refurbishment”. Huh? Do you know if that means they are all gone? Or is it a glitch? Argh.

  5. Any idea when FP+ will be released for weekend 5? I still haven’t seen any populating in MyDisneyExperience. Any suggestion of where it will be announced? Or will you know?
    Thanks for all you do!

  6. Hello,we are attending Star Wars weekend on the 15th,but we want to go to Hollywood studios on May 4th,got a few questions

    What time should we arrive?
    We don’t have kids
Where should we lunch,no ideas yet
    Want to ride star tours
Want to ride toy story midway mania
    Meet Star Wars characters
    Visit darth mall
Somewhere to eat on the evening
Best place to watch the fireworks
    We aren’t staying in a Disney resort hotel,and haven’t a clue about FP+
    Any help mostly appreciate
    John

  7. You say the schedule is confirmed. By who? Disneys site is not showing a schedule. Also have you Hearn that Beauty and Beast and Frozen will be closed at least on June 14 if not longer?

  8. How do you get Stars of the Saga seats? Is it a fast pass? Do you have to be at the gates at 5am?
They can’t possibly fit everyone who wants to see it into the theatre.

    • Fastpass+ or use the regular wait in line. 5am would only be to get a celebrity autograph. I would arrive 1 hour early if you can’t secure a FP. I agree that it will likely be chaos, especially since they are selling a bunch of the seats for their tours.

  9. We are going on Sat 7 June and last year, there were Fast Pass kiosks outside the gate supposedly that were for the autograph sessions. I know since the Magic Bands came out, they no longer have the kiosks, how will they run it this year. We got there at like 10AM last year and were still too late. I know Mark Hamill is not signing autographs but I’d like to get Ray Park and Billy Dee Williams to sign their action figures I plan to bring. Also, are there any SW themed hotel parties going on where fans can get together? I think that would be really cool, a SW costume/cosplay party. Thanks, Kelly

    • There aren’t kiosks, there are lines with signs and they still have those. You must get paper fp and wristbands. It’s described in the Celebrities section of this Star Wars Guide. You’ll need to get there really early to meet those guys. 4:00am probably. Have no idea about hotel parties.

  10. How certain is it that Mark Hamil will be in Stars of Saga? I’ve seen rumors that there will be a different show added for him.

  11. Do you know how long the Obi-Wan and Beyond starring James Arnold Taylor thing lasts? And where is it held? THANKS!!!

  12. Kenny,

We have a 9:30 breakfast on weekend 4. What time do the characters start the meet
and greets? I wanted to try and see Chewie first….

    Roll Tide!
