Disney Ran Out of One Freebie and Replaced It with Another

If you are a DVC Member, you will want to read this. See whether you will be able to get a brand new offering and whether you like it better than the original.

One of the best things about being a Disney Vacation Club Member is access to exclusive perks. Of course, members can attest that some of these perks have limited availability and can be tough to come by.

For example, offerings like Moonlight Magic book up extremely quickly. There are often not enough slots for every member who wants one.

Other perks like DVC dining discounts and merch discounts are avaliable to everyone. Sometimes DVC even gives out gifts to members who attend select events.

DVC Halloween Party Gift

This year, DVC Members attending Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party can enjoy a fun free gift. Distribution happens at McKim's Mile House Lounge in Frontierland starting on party day!

Guests must check into the party first and pick up their armbands. Then they can head to McKim's and pick up one gift per member.

Originally, Disney was giving DVC members fun tote bags. They are significantly bigger than the ones that the party provides. Unfortunately, Cast Members reported that they ran out of bags.

Replacement Gift

Not to worry, you can still enjoy a freebie. Disney has replaced the Halloween bags with light-up DVC Halloween necklaces.

These could be fun for guests who like something a little flashy. The batteries seem to last a good while as well.

This is doubtless disappointing for guests who were looking forward to the bags and don't like things like light-up necklaces. However, it is also positive that Disney replaced the gift at all since it is a "while supplies last" offering. Hopefully these will last through the final party.
