Although many guests would rather not be on their phones while on vacation, the My Disney Experience app for Disney World Guests is truly invaluable. After all, it has everything you need to enjoy a magical vacation!

Disney reserves the right to make operational changes as needed throughout the parks. Disney will often use the My Disney Experience app to send notifications to Guests visiting about closures and changes to park hours.

This morning, Guests are noticing an interesting change in the operating hours of Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets.

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets

Disney Imagineers began work on the new Muppet transformation back in December 2025, which blocked the pre-show for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith. The attraction completely closed on March 2, 2026.

We were pretty surprised when Disney announced that the newly rethemed Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets would reopen on May 26, 2026.

This was a really quick turnaround, and we feared that the refurbishment was simply cosmetic and would not address the extended downtime that plagued Rock 'n' Roller Coaster when it starred Aerosmith.

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets has seen several temporary closures and continues to be unreliable for Early Entry Guests.

Oftentimes, Guests who rush towards Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at park opening and Early Entry are met with disappointing news from Cast Members. This morning, Disney adjusted operating hours on the My Disney Experience app and on the Walt Disney World website.

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets will not open until 11:00 am today.

Today, October 6, 2026, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets now opens at 11:00 am. This is a BIG disadvantage for Guests hoping to enjoy low wait times during Early Entry and at park opening.

Guests who secured a Lightning Lane for this attraction will receive a Lightning Lane Multi-Pass to use on a select attraction, or they may keep this multi-pass to use when Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets does open.

At this time, it is unclear what the reason for this delay is, and operating hours remain unchanged for the rest of the week.

What do you think of this delayed opening? Do you think more should have been done to address attraction reliability during this refurbishment? Share your thoughts with us and share this news with your Disney pals.
