There is nothing quite like a day at the Magic Kingdom. It is truly the "Most Magical Place on Earth" for good reason. One thing that sets Disney Parks apart from other theme parks is the great entertainment options that delight guests throughout the day.

From multiple stage shows, awe-inspiring fireworks, cavalcades, and, of course, the Festival of Fantasy Parade. Guests have so much to enjoy apart from the thrilling attractions.

Currently, guests can enjoy the Festival of Fantasy Parade at 2:00 pm and the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade at 11:05 am. Be sure to follow along with Character Locator for updated showtimes, as these can change.

Festival of Fantasy Fail

The Festival of Fantasy Parade features so many great characters and elaborate floats. At its best, it is pure Disney magic, but all too often the unexpected can happen.

There have been several unexpected mishaps over the past several weeks, with parade floats missing, characters walking the parade route, and now a fairy down. One of the favorite features of the parade is when the Flaura, Fauna, and Merryweather float and glide just ahead of the fire-breathing Maleficent.

Unfortunately, poor Merryweather became stuck on the trolley tracks.

Cast Members sprang into action, and the entire parade paused. With a black sheet draped around her waist, Merryweather stepped down. With a tiny adjustment, she began to walk behind the other fairies as they continued to glide down Main Street.

In true Disney fashion, "The Show Must Go On," even with unexpected breakdowns. Merryweather's rolling base was wrapped in the black sheet and was later towed down Main Street.

Merryweather became stuck on Main Street during the Festival of Fantasy Parade.
