Although many guests would rather not be on their phone while on vacation, the My Disney Experience app for Disney World Guests is truly invaluable. After all, it has everything you need to enjoy a magical vacation!

This app helps Guests plan their vacation, from booking their next Lightning Lane Multi-Pass selection to even locating their car after a long day in the parks.

It also allows the Disney Parks to send notifications regarding ride closures, entertainment changes, park hour changes, etc.

Surprise Message

Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom first welcomed Guests on October 1, 1971. Exactly 55 years ago today.

In honor of this special anniversary, a new message displays once you open the My Disney Experience app (after the "Fall Into Magic" display).

"Happy Anniversary, Walt Disney World! Today, we celebrate 55 years of The Most Magical Place on Earth. Thank you for including Walt Disney World in your lives. Here's to the memories we've made together and all that's still to come.

Wherever your journey takes you today, make it a magical one!"- Joe Schott, President, Walt Disney World.

Magic Kingdom's 55th Anniversary

To honor this special milestone, Disney has created Disney World's 55th anniversary merch. The best part is that the models for this new merchandise are two opening-day cast members. These two still bring the Disney magic every day to Guests visiting Walt Disney World.

Guests visiting Magic Kingdom this morning can enjoy a special presentation at the Cinderella Cast stage given by Joe Schott, President, Walt Disney World.

Special Happy Anniversary Message greets Guests on the Walt Disney World My Disney Experience app this morning.

While this is not quite the epic celebration of Walt Disney's World's 50th Anniversary, it is still a nice way to commemorate this milestone.
