Hollywood Studios Attraction Finally Reopens After a Disappointing Delay

After a long closure, this attraction failed to reopen on time. Unfortunately, another closure will affect this attraction again soon.

Disney Parks reserves the right to change operational hours as needed and without notice. Our Kenny the Pirate writing crew continues to share upcoming closures with you.

At times, this can mean attraction closures, canceled entertainment, and even select locations of the Disney Parks blocked for guests.

Disney's Hollywood Studios has seen many changes over the past few years, with the reimagining of Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets and the closure of Muppet Courtyard to make room for "Monstropolis".

Vacation Fun Reopening

At Disney's Hollywood Studios, Guests can take a break at Vacation Fun to enjoy several of our favorite animated shorts featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

Unfortunately, Vacation Fun closed on August 9, 2026. It appears that this closure was due to the distribution of the Kermit Walt Disney World Annual Passholder magnet.

The final day to pick up the Kermit Annual Passholder magnet was on September 24, 2026. Vacation Fun was scheduled to reopen on September 27, 2026. Unfortunately, the attraction did not reopen yesterday. It is now fully open to Geusts today, September 28, 2026.

Vacation Fun Closing Again?

Sadly, the Vacation Fun Theater has closed several times to be used for May the 4th merchandise and also Jollywood Nights merchandise.

Vacation Fun finally reopens after a disappointing delay.

We suspect that Vacation Fun will close once again for Jollywood Nights, beginning on November 7, 2026, through January 5, 2027.

This is very disappointing for Guests hoping to enjoy great entertainment and escape the crowds for a little bit. Hollywood Studios offers so few attractions that it is disappointing that an attraction must close for special event merchandise.
