Hollywood Studios Changes

At times, this can mean attraction closures, canceled entertainment, and even select locations of the Disney Parks blocked for guests.
Disney's Hollywood Studios has seen many changes over the past few years, with the reimagining of Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets and the closure of Muppet Courtyard to make room for "Monstropolis".
Vacation Fun Closing
After a long day at Disney's Hollywood Studios, one of my (Donna) favorite spots to rest and enjoy cool air conditioning is the Vacation Fun Theater.
Guests can relax in adorable Mickey Mouse-themed seats and enjoy several of our favorite animated shorts featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse. My favorite short, "Potatoland," is also featured during this film.
Unfortunately, Vacation Fun will close on August 9, 2026, and is planned to reopen later this year.
Reason for this closure
It appears that this closure will be due to the distribution of the Kermit Walt Disney World Annual Passholder magnet. These magnets will be available starting August 10th through September 24, 2026.
Vacation Fun will close beginning August 9, 2026.
Sadly, the Vacation Fun Theater has closed several times to be used for May the 4th merchandise and also Jollywood Nights merchandise. While we understand the need for additional space, it is sad to see the closure of Vacation Fun.
