On Sunday, March 1, 2026, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith officially closed.

The attraction building remains on the My Disney Experience app, but the iconic guitar and stretch limo at the entrance have been removed. The physical park map shows the change, "Future Home of Rock 'n' Roller Coaster starring The Muppets."

Disney Imagineers began work on the new Muppet transformation back in December 2025; the pre-show for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster was blocked.

This hinted that work was already underway for this transformation. Since Rock 'n' Roller Coaster closed, construction walls surround this attraction. Guests notice daily changes to both the limo featured at the entrance and the Stratocaster guitar.

Earlier, we shared reopening news for several Disney attractions, including: Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Bluey's Wild World, Soarin' Around America, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

There are rumors among Disney Imagineers and Cast Members that Disney has a projected reopening timeline of Memorial Day for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster starring The Muppets.
