Every Ride Challenge Presents March Magic Tournament

The organizers behind the Every Ride Challenge are presenting a new, in-park challenge at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom to raise donations for Give Kids the World Village. The new single-day challenge is called "March Magic."

MARCH MAGIC

March Magic is a 32-attraction "March Madness" bracket-style event - complete attractions to advance them to the next round. Which ride will win your bracket?

The participants will choose one Magic Kingdom attraction out of each pairing to advance by experiencing that attraction.

The attractions are weighted by points. The early concept shows a maximum of 20 points for a single attraction choice, with a minimum of 5 points.

Once you complete two pairings, you can then choose one of those to experience again, with the points doubling in the second round.

This concept continues with point values tripled in the 3rd round, quadrupled in the 4th round, and so on.

RULES FOR MARCH MAGIC

Required Elements

  • Take a selfie while in the ride vehicle (or show seat or with a character) and tweet with hashtags #ERMarchMagic and tag @RideEvery for credit for each
  • If you use a LL, include a screenshot showing the ride and your name in the tweet
  • An attraction can advance to the next round only if it has an "opponent" (you can't ride Space Mountain as your first 2 rides to advance it to Round 3)
  • For attractions where you could "hop off," include proof you experienced the attraction (mid-ride/show video or photo)

Strongly Encouraged

  • Use a time-stamp camera to help out the official scorers. (I prefer the free version of the Timemark app)

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

  • No Early Entry Allowed (but okay to ride Main Street Vehicles before park opens)
  • Lightning Lane (LL) Multi Pass and LL Single Pass are allowed; no Multiple Experience carried over from the previous day is allowed.
  • A multi-experience (anytime) pass must be used for its original ride
  • LL Premier Pass, VIP tours, etc., are not allowed!

WHAT IT MAY LOOK LIKE

As of the time of publishing, we were unable to confirm the finalized choices of attractions and pairings for March Magic, but we found this example on the site listed above for scoring and tweeting your progress.

If the pairings above prove to be accurate, fans of Hall of Presidents and Enchanted Tales with Belle would likely love this setup, while Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean fans might have to make difficult scoring choices early on.

WHEN IS THE MARCH MADNESS EVENT

The Every Ride March Madness event was initially scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 14. However, the organizers decided to give participants the option of attempting on Friday, March 13 OR Saturday, March 14.

The updated tweet says to specify which date you are choosing on the sign-up/email. When we visited the Every Ride Challenge website, we couldn't locate a sign-up page. You can email them at [email protected]

I plan to participate. You can follow me at x.com/thepiratekenny (turn on notifications) and make donations at give.gktw.org/ktp
