Four Big Changes Hit EPCOT Today

These changes were unexpected, but we LOVE them! Be sure to add these to your Walt Disney World touring plans.

EPCOT Festival of the Holidays

There are so many ways to experience the beauty of the holidays, from visiting the parks, meeting Santa Claus at Disney Springs, and, of course, the International Festival of the Holidays at EPCOT.

Today, November 28, 2025, is the official start of the International Festival of the Holidays at EPCOT. The Glimmering Greenhouses have returned this year at Living with the Land.

The CommuniCore Hall received a wonderful holiday overlay with a beautiful Spaceship Earth made completely out of gingerbread along with a visit with Santa.

New EPCOT Characters

We were delighted that two new character meet and greets debuted for the start of the International Festival of the Holidays at EPCOT.

First, after Santa moved to CommuniCore Hall this Christmas season, this paved the way for Santa Goofy to greet guests at the Odyssey Pavilion. This is such a great character meet and greet!

Second, is our pal Figment. He now greets guests in his festive blue holiday sweater at Image Works. This is located at the exit of the Journey Into Imagination with Figment attraction. Both characters will greet guests now until the end of the festival on December 30, 2025.

EPCOT Storyteller Change

The third change is also housed in the Odyssey Pavilion, where you can meet Santa Goofy. Guests can enjoy the "Glittering Grove" sponsored by Balsam Hill. Enjoy a beautiful tree stroll while waiting to meet Santa Goofy.

The final change is the most exciting. In the Germany Pavilion, guests can learn the history of the Advent calendar through Micha's Adventskalendar Puppetry show. Unfortunately, this is only offered Fridays through Tuesdays. The showtimes are 12:40 pm, 1:30 pm, 2:35 pm, 3:55 pm, 5:00 pm, and 6:05 pm (times subject to change).
