Disney is changing things up this year for holiday filming. In previous years, holiday filming typically took place around the week of November 10th
This year, Disney is way ahead of schedule, beginning holiday filming this week. Surprisingly, this is even before the first string of lights is hung.
Typically, we begin to see Christmas decorations adorn EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom towards the end of October. Magic Kingdom waits until the final guests leave on the final night of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party
Disney Holiday Filming Tickets

This year, Disney is extending an invitation for D23 Members to secure tickets for an overnight filming for an overnight taping of “The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration at Disneyland.
“The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration” is an annual television special that airs on ABC during the holiday season. It features musical performances, celebrity appearances, and festive segments from various Disney Parks around the world.
Check-in begins at 11:00 pm on October 23rd and the event ends at 6:30 am on October 24th. Guests are warned that audience participation is required for filming and that they are highly recommended to stay for the entire event. You can see full details for tickets HERE.

D23 Gold and General Members may reserve a ticket for themselves and up to 3 guest(s) for this event. Tickets are available on a first-come come first first-served basis. Unfortunately, these tickets sold out quickly.
D23 Members can register for overnight filming of “The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration at Disneyland.
Due to the popularity of this event, we hope that Disney may allow more opportunities for guests to enjoy the parks later than normal. We would love to see overnight filming offered at Walt Disney World as well.
