Breaking: Several Disney Main Street Locations Evacuated
This is not what many people expect while strolling down Main Street, USA. See which locations are closed and how this is affecting guests.
Emergencies at Disney

While the majority of operations run smoothly at the Disney Parks, there are times when things don't always go as planned. Evacuations, malfunctions, and more can really impact the day-to-day running of the parks.
This week has been a rough one for Disney. On Sunday, the "Boo to You Parade" was turned around mid-performance due to inclement weather. Yesterday, we shared that the Disney Cruise Line will cancel three months of sailings on one of the newest ships.
On Wednesday, a nighttime float began to malfunction. While this float was being towed backstage, it caught on fire. Thankfully, Cast Members were able to evacuate before the fire ignited.
Main Street Fire Alarm

Main Street, USA is themed after turn-of-the-century Marceline, Missouri. Main Street is a love letter to Walt Disney's hometown.
Ice cream parlors, horse-drawn trolleys, and even a working barber shop allow us to live in the nostalgic past of days long gone. However, today at Disneyland, Main Street, USA had a bit of a different feel.
Guests reported that earlier this morning, a smoke alarm siren could be heard on Main Street, USA. This is what seemed to trigger the evacuation and closure of several shops and dining locations.
Main Street Evacuations

Due to the fire alarm warning, this led to the evacuation and closing of the Emporium, the Candy Palace, and the Carnation Cafe at Disneyland. Thankfully, there are no signs of fire or smoke on Main Street.
Fire alarms on Main Street, USA, caused multiple locations to evacuate and close
The Emporium and the Candy Palace reopened after about minutes, but the Caranation Cafe remains closed with no reopening timeline provided. The Carnation Cafe is one of my (Donna) favorite spots to dine. Hopefully, this will soon fully reopen to Guests.
