Surprising New Changes at Mickey's Halloween Party
Walt Disney World teased that there would be new changes for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party this year. Check out these new character experiences and great new entertainment.
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP for short) will run on select dates in August, September, and October this year. Click HERE to view a complete list of dates.
Last night, August 15, 2025, was the very first Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party this year. We couldn't wait to see what new surprises may be in store this year.
Disney also teased that there will be new and returning villains roaming the streets of the Magic Kingdom for party nights. Last night, we shared that Mother Gothel (from Tangled) is now greeting guests as they enter the party and featured in the Boo to You Parade. Check out times for this meet and greet HERE.
Halloween Party New Entertainment
Most of the entertainment for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is listed on the My Disney Experience app, but one fun entertainment option is not listed.
Over at Storybook Circus, guests are entertained by fun entertainers performing balancing acts. This is similar to the fun acts during Cool Kid Summer.
Storybook Circus also offers many character meet and greets at Pete's Silly Side Show. This year, it appears that characters can also pop up in surprising locations. For example, we saw Donald Duck in his adorable pumpkin costume over at Mickey's PhilharMagic.
Another fun character surprise was at the Disney Jr. Jam at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe. Disney lists interactions with Vampirina, Fancy Nancy, Timon, and Doc McStuffins. Last night, guests were delighted to see Powerline Max jam on the stage.
Halloween Party Characters
Similar to last year, the Evil Queen and Maleficent greeted guests at the Treat Trail at Princess Fairytale Hall. Last year, Cruella DeVil greeted guests as they entered the party, and she does again this year. However, last night she also interacted with guests at Town Square. We hope that Mother Gothel may also pop up at Town Square (not confirmed yet).
Powerline Max surprised guests at the Disney Jr Jam
We were delighted to see Lady Tremaine joining her daughters, Drizella and Anastasia, for meet and greets near the castle wall in Fantaslyand.
Also not announced before the party, Gaston was greeting guests near the Be Our Guest Castle last night; however, it appears that some characters may pop up at various locations throughout the night.
Many characters at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party do not sign their autographs, but rather offer an autograph card. This card is specially themed and makes a great souvenir from the party, and hopefully moves the character lines along a little faster for all guests. For example, Mickey and Minnie (both greeting guests at Town Square) offer the autograph card featured above.
