Disney Guests Left Surprised and Disappointed at This After Hours Event

Disney World held a hard-ticketed After Hours event last night. Unfortunately, Guests attending were left surprised and disappointed by one attraction's early closure.

After Hours at Disney are special ticketed events that take place after the park closes for the night. The hard-ticketed event happens on select nights at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios.

This event is different from Extended Evening Hours where guests staying at Disney's Deluxe Resorts have additional night hours in the parks.

After Hours allows you to experience shorter wait times for attractions, meet some of your favorite characters, and enjoy complimentary snacks such as ice cream, popcorn, and select drinks. Check out this year's event dates and pricing HERE.

Test Track Closure

Last night, Guests attending the EPCOT After Hours were surprised and disappointed when they discovered that Test Track would not be operating for the entire event. A sign was out that stated, "Test Track Presented by General Motors will be available for limited hours tonight."

Guests were also disappointed to find that wait times for Test Track were never posted on the My Disney Experience app. The single rider option was also not in use for the event.

Unfortunately, those attending the event did not get any notice of the limited hours of Test Track through the app or the After Hours handout. Even the sign (shown above) does not specify the hours that Test Track would be operating. We only discovered that Test Track would close at midnight (the event runs until 1 AM) by asking Cast Members at Test Track.

It is always important to make sure you read all the "Know before you go" before purchasing and enjoying an event. Disney includes that "attractions, entertainment, and experiences are subject to change without notice."

This was disappointing for Guests visiting last night, but hopefully, many were able to enjoy the attraction before its early closure. If you are planning to attend another After Hours event, be sure to check the app and ask Cast Members regarding any attraction operations if you have any must-dos during your visit.
