JetBlue Flight Goes Off Taxiway

Fox 35 News reported that at around 10 am today, JetBlue flight 488, departing for Worcester, Massachusetts, went off the taxiway at Orlando International Airport. Passengers were deplaned and bussed back to the terminal after the plane went off the taxiway and into the grass. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
“At JetBlue, safety is our highest priority. We are conducting a thorough investigation and will work closely with the appropriate authorities to determine the cause of the incident.”

The incident is believed to have possibly been a mechanical issue, but no further details have been released. The flight was delayed for several hours and did not take off until around 2:30 PM, according to FlightAware.
