Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Bay Lake Tower
Disney’s Contemporary and Bay Lake Tower have a prime location. Both resorts are steps away from the Magic Kingdom and also on the monorail.
Both the Contemporary and Bay Lake Tower are located in the Magic Kingdom Resort area.
Bay Cove Pool Refurbishment
The Bay Cove Pool refurbishment at Bay Lake Tower has not been changed, even though it was extended once before. This closure may disappoint guests booking Spring Break trips in 2026.
Starting January 26, 2026, the Bay Cove Pool will close. This extended closure for maintenance will continue through May 2026.
During this closure, Bay Lake Tower guests are welcome to use the feature pool at the Contemporary Resort. You can read about the announcement HERE.
Refurbishment Extended
Disney has extended the refurbishment window for Bay Lake Tower and now also includes both Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The construction now will extend through July 2026. Disney’s website reads:
Refurbishments will occur in select areas of Disney’s Contemporary Resort—including Bay Lake Tower. Please allow for extra travel time. Guests may also see and hear construction during their stay.
The refurbishment statement previously stated that only Bay Lake Tower was impacted and had an end date of Summer 2025. At this time, Disney has not provided any details on what this refurbishment will entail. Disney does recommend planning for extra time to reach your destination and you may hear or see the construction.
