Breaking: New Phased Closure for Disney’s DinoLand

Breaking: New Phased Closure for Disney’s DinoLand

Disney just announced the next phased closure for DinoLand, and this one is pretty sad. We only hope this replacement is better than when they removed the “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” playground at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

DinoLand is about to be extinct at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. An entire new land is on the way. It is set to be themed around Tropical Americas! We can’t wait to see Welcome to Pueblo Esperanza!

According to Disney, a new Indy experience is set to arrive in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It promises to be different from any other Indiana Jones experience around the world. You can also expect a new carousel and an Encanto attraction! Read all everything we have confirmed HERE.

This past January,  TriceraTop Spin was the first ride to close. Fossil Fun and Games and Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures will close. Get full dates and details HERE.

When Will DinoLand Close?

When Disney first released the above closing dates this did not include the following DinoLand attractions: DINOSAUR, the Boneyard, Restaurantosaurus, Dino-Bite Snacks, and Trilo-Bites.

DinoLand consumes a large chunk of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We were hopeful that parts of this land would remain open even with this new reimagining.

While Disney promised that 2025 would be your year to enjoy the DINOSAUR attraction, we expected more locations to potentially close as construction progressed.

Disney now confirms the next phased closure of DinoLand USA will be at The Boneyard Fossil Fun Site. The final day to enjoy this playground will be on September 1, 2025.

With this phased closure also comes the promise that the new Tropical Americas will feature a new kids’ play space.
