Disney’s Hollywood Studios Makes Changes to Early Entry

One of the biggest perks to staying at a Walt Disney World Resort is Early Entry. Find out how this perk just changed at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

It is important to note that the posted park times may not be the actual park times. Guests staying at Disney World Resorts can enter all four theme parks 30 minutes earlier than the official park opening.

First introduced in 2021, Early Theme Park Entry allows guests staying at Walt Disney World Resorts to enter all 4 Theme Parks 30 minutes early. Originally, all other guests were held at the park entrance.

Early Entry has changed a bit over the years. Most recently, Early Entry changes affected EPCOT when Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind dropped its Virtual Queue and an even earlier entry at the Magic Kingdom.

Early Entry Changes at Hollywood Studios

All guests arriving at Disney’s Hollywood Studios can line up and scan into the Park when the park opens for Early Theme Park Entry. Once inside the park, only Resort Guests can enter lines for attractions and access Galaxy’s Edge, Toy Story Land, and Sunset Boulevard.

Today, guests visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios experienced a new change during early entry. Previously, guests heading first to Toy Story Land were held near Pixar Plaza and One Man’s Dream theatre.

Today, Early Entry to Toy Story Land is held at the large Disney’s Hollywood Studios archway, which is the entrance to Animation Courtyard. This makes for quite a long walk for guests heading towards Toy Story Land.

The main reason for this change is the kickoff of “Cool Kid Summer” starting tomorrow, May 27th, throughout Walt Disney World. The Animation Courtyard will feature fun performances from magicians, jump rope performers, and even surprise character appearances.

Early Entry has changed for Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

With “Cool Kid Summer” running through September 2, 2025, we expect this will be the new Early Entry procedure for guests hoping to enjoy Toy Story Land during Early Entry.
