Changes to Character Meets at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park

There has been a change in the lineup at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Find out who is meeting at a new location and what characters are now missing.

Character Changes

One thing that sets Disney Parks apart from other Theme Parks is so many great character meet and greets. We all love classic characters like Mickey and his pals, but many Disney fans love meeting the classics in various costumes.

Recently, there has been a change with the characters meeting at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park.

Pluto’s New Location

At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Pluto has moved to a new location. Guests previously found Pluto in DinoLand. Now, Pluto is greeting Guests at the Oasis.

Pluto is now greeting Guests at the Oasis.

Pluto is no longer sporting his DinoLand attired. Instead, he is wearing a bandana with his dog tag. He has regular meet-and-greet times that are listed on the My Disney Experience App.

Characters Missing

Another character change has happened at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It has been reported that Rafiki and Timon have not been meeting Guests since May 10th.

Rafiki and Timon are no longer listed as meeting on the My Disney Experience App.

It has been rumored that they may not appear at all this summer. We are hopeful that this is not true and we will be seeing these two soon! Be sure to check back, as we will keep you updated on these character meets.
