Pirates of the Caribbean is open and welcoming guests aboard. However, in line for the attraction, guests will hear much construction taking place on the new Pirates of the Caribbean Lounge.

With an expected opening in 2025, this new lounge will be located near the queue for this attraction. Construction noise could be heard all of the way through the inside queue for this attraction.

Although this does slightly take away from one of our favorite atttractions, we are very excited about this new Pirates of the Caribbean experience.

The new lounge will offer a welcoming space for all pirates (big and small). All are welcome to raise a toast to the pirate life. Guests visiting this lounge will find a "sea-worthy selection of grogs and grub."

Disney has not made an official opening date, but simply share an expected opening in 2025. Now, Disney releases a big update for this experience.

The Pirates of the Caribbean Lounge will be called The Beak and Barrel. We love this new update!

Disney shares a new character for this space, Rummy serves as the tavern's quartermaster keeping an eye on the place from his roost high atop the bar. There will also be unique spaces in this lounge.

The largest and central space at The Beak and Barrel was once the mess hall for Spanish soldiers and is now known appropriately as "The Mess." Inside the Captains' Quarters, visiting pirates can enjoy a taste of the finer life, which was once the living quarters of the Spanish Comandante. However, the fine artwork and drapery haven't escaped slashing blades or burn marks over the years from rambunctious pirates. We love the details for this new space.
