That Walt Disney World area has been issued a Tropical Storm Watch. Guests staying at Fort Wilderness are asked to prepare for the storm.
Tropical Storm
Hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30. Typically, most hurricanes hit during August, September, and October. September is considered peak hurricane season in Florida.
For travelers headed to Disney World during this time of year, it is important to be prepared and stay aware of weather conditions. This includes packing extra items like battery chargers, medications, and baby supplies. We suggest turning on all weather alerts and closely monitoring severe weather patterns right before and during your vacation.

Fort Wilderness Resort
Fort Wilderness Campground is commonly known as “The Fort.” People travel from all over just to camp at the Fort Wilderness Campground without ever stepping foot in a park!
It is part of staying at The Fort to decorate your campsite. Guests will go out loopin’ to check out all the different decorations, and these decorations do not disappoint.
The campground has a following all of its own. People love to participate in the holidays, and they go all out when decorating their campsite and golf carts no matter the season. Be sure to check out our complete resort guide to The Fort HERE.
What Guests Need to Do
