Disney Vacation Club, or DVC, is Disney’s version of a timeshare. You have most likely seen their kiosks throughout Disney parks, Disney Springs, and Disney hotels.

DVC uses a points system, so Members have flexibility on when and how they want to stay. Members purchase an allotment of Vacation Points that they can choose to use however they would like.

How to Enjoy Adventures by Disney on a Budget

A Member could win a trip from Adventures by Disney to Costa Rica! You could enjoy the beautiful nature that Central America has to offer. Check out the itinerary for this trip:

Day 1: San José

From the moment you arrive at Costa Rica Marriott Hotel Hacienda Belen, you’ll enjoy all the hotel’s amenities—and then celebrate your arrival with welcome drinks and a dinner feast.

Day 2: Arenal Volcano Area

Thrill to white water rafting on the Sarapiqui River, and then have a private lunch in Aventuras del Sarapiqui before checking into Arenal Kioro Suites & Spa—where you can take in the powerful sight of the Arenal volcano and enjoy a delicious dinner.

Day 3: Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge

Take a boat ride down the Rio Frio on the Caño Negro Wildlife Guided Tour, with your guide pointing out spectacular flora and fauna—and then return to unwind at your hotel and have a lovely dinner.

Day 4: Arenal

Take a scenic bus ride to the Sky Tram, and then delight in a Zip Line Adventure before relaxing in the Ecotermales Fortuna Hot Springs and enjoying a private dinner at its rustic restaurant.

Day 5: Guanacaste

Discover the sweetest rainforest ever when you take a privately guided tour of the Cacao Rainforest, and then head on a breathtaking journey by motor coach to the El Mangroove Hotel in Guanacaste.

Day 6: Guanacaste

Enjoy a Private Catamaran Excursion where you can snorkel, swim and sunbathe, following by a light lunch, an afternoon of water sports or relaxation—and a festive, farewell dinner with music and a folk dance performance.

Day 7: Liberia

After breakfast, board pre-arranged transportation to Liberia International Airport (LIR).

Age, height, and weight restrictions are in place for white water rafting and ziplining.

The Disney Vacation Club Magical Member Adventure Contest is open to DVC Members who are eligible for Member Benefits and are a United States resident. To enter, Members are to share their best Disney Vacation Club photos, which gives them a chance to win a 6-night  Adventures by Disney trip to Costa Rica. Members can share up to 3 photos.

The winner (and one Guests) will receive:

  • Roundtrip coach airfare
  • 6 nights of accommodations for 2 people, including:
    • One double-occupancy room per location
    • Transportation within the land package
    • On-tour luggage handling
    • Gratuities for bellmen, housekeepers, drivers, activity providers and dining room staff
    • 16 meals (excluding alcoholic beverages)—6 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 6 dinners
  • Services of local experts
  • Services of Adventure Guides
  • Participation in an Adventures by Disney guided group travel experience, with visits to a chocolate rainforest, natural hot springs, river rapids and more
