Disney After Dark Event to offer spectacular characters

Disney has announced some fantastic character meets for its upcoming After Dark event. I’m super excited to meet several of these characters. What do you think of this lineup?

Disney After Dark

Disney After Dark is a special ticketed event that often occurs after regular park hours, providing guests with an exclusive nighttime experience. These events typically feature unique themes, such as ’80s or ’90s nights, Star Wars Night, Pixar Night, or Halloween celebrations.

During a Disney After Dark event, attendees can enjoy several perks, including:

Limited capacity, which results in shorter lines for popular attractions.
Special entertainment, such as dance parties, live music, and unique character meet and greets.
Themed photo opportunities with rare characters or in special settings not regularly available.
Specialty food and merchandise exclusive to the event.
A chance to see the park in a different light, often with special decorations and lighting effects.

Disney After Dark tickets include park entry for the evening, and often guests are allowed to enter a few hours before the event officially starts, giving them a bit of extra time to enjoy the park. It’s a chance for Disney fans to experience the magic of the theme park with a unique twist and fewer crowds, making for a memorable evening.

Some standard characters at the event

Disney After Dark events have been known to offer a variety of great Disney characters. Characters include those that might be found regularly, semi-regularly, and very rarely.

Avid character locators will have an “Eh, that part of the list is okay” response to this portion of the available characters list. The best part is coming. Don’t you love anticipation?

Baloo & King Louie

Some of these characters may appear in special costumes, that will spruce up the event even more. Typically, the events offer unique overlays. Baloo & King Louie haven’t been common at Animal Kingdom since the 2020 shutdown and Flynn Rider usually only appears for special events.

I’m especially excited to see the 3 Nephews – Huey, Dewey & Louie and Monterey Jack. There might be some Stitch experiments that will be new to me as well.

Event Details

The Disney Channel Nite After Dark Event will take place on March 5 and 7, 2024 at Disneyland Park. The Ticket Price is $139 per person over the age of 3 years. The event takes place from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM.
