The Walt Disney Company is making contributions to support the humanitarian relief effort following the unfathomable terrorist attacks in Israel. Here are the official statements from the company.
Disney Contributes to Terrorism Relief Efforts
The Walt Disney Company issued a statement describing donations that have been made to provide humanitarian relief following the horrific terrorist attacks that occurred in Israel. Disney is donating $2 million to organizations that are providing humanitarian relief in the region.
The $2 million will be divided across organizations devoted to relief. According to the company, “Disney is donating $1 million to Magen David Adom, an affiliate of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies that provides emergency medical and blood banking services in Israel, and $1 million to other nonprofit organizations working in the region, particularly those with a focus on providing aid to children.“
Additionally, during this time company employees have been able to participate in Disney’s Matching Gifts program. This program provides a match of eligible charitable donations made by company employees for amounts of up to $25,000.

Robert A. Iger, Chief Executive Officer, The Walt Disney Company stated, “In the wake of the horrific terrorist attacks targeting Jews in Israel this past weekend, we must all do what we can to support the innocent people experiencing so much pain, violence, and uncertainty – particularly children.”
Iger went on to say, “We condemn these attacks, the hate that motivated them, and all acts of terrorism, and we will continue working to find more ways to provide support in the region, and to honor the victims, their families, and all those affected by this war.”
No amount of money can erase such unimaginable human suffering. However, hope remains that these contributions will serve to provide at least some measure of relief including emergency medical care.
