The Holidays at Disney World
The parties. Snacks and toasty beverages. All of the amazing decor! There is so much to love about the holidays at Disney.
Christmas is a very special time of the year to visit a Disney park. If you have never been, I (Monica) encourage to plan a visit ASAP! You can read all about what makes Disney more special during the holidays in this post.
At Disney World we have two special events to look forward to: the return of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and the debut of Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
MVMCP
On 25 select nights, Nov. 9-Dec. 22, this separately ticketed event will welcome guests to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year at Magic Kingdom. Holiday magic is unwrapped with the return of festive favorites like the Christmas extravaganza stage show, “Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration,” the sparkling spectacular “Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks” and the merry must-see “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.”
Guests can also look forward to enjoying some of their favorite classic and thrill attractions, including TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise, which will use a virtual queue during the event.
Holiday overlays that are returning for this year’s party are also Jingle Cruise and Space Mountain. Overlays missing from this year are Mad Tea Party, Tomorrowland Speedway Race Through the Holidays and the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor Holiday Show.
Sold Out
Here are the event dates for 2023:
November: 9, 10, 13, 14, 16, 17, 19, 21, 22, 26, 28, 30
December: 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 22
On September 10, we saw the first “sold out” night, and it’s the first night! November 9 is sold out. Since then two more dates are now sold out: November 10 and December 14.
This event WILL completely sell out – it’s not a matter of if, but when. On the other hand, Jollywood has only sold out for one night. I imagine people are waiting to see how that first night goes before purchasing tickets. If that’s your game plan, be sure to check back here at Kenny the Pirate!
