Cedar Point is an amusement park located in Sandusky, Ohio that just recently celebrated their 150th anniversary! Better known as, “America’s Roller Coast”, the park boasts a grand total of 16 roller coasters. It is also the only amusement park in the world that has five roller coasters reaching at least 200 feet tall.

Returning again for the 2023 season is Halloweekends. The special event is happening now and runs through October 29, 2023. Stay for the day and enjoy kid friendly activities and entertainment. I (Maggie) was recently hosted by Cedar Point and here is just some of the fun that you can find!

Family Entertainment

Kid-friendly activities include the Boneyard Jamboree, Spooky Eye Spy, Trick-or-Treat trails, Kooky Crafts, Monstrous Makeovers, Hay Mazes, Harvest Tractors and Pumpkin Decorating.

Families can also meet with Peanuts characters throughout the day and watch live shows with Snoopy and the whole gang.

Spooky Treats

If you are hungry, Cedar Point has plenty of spooky treats to choose from. Shown above is the Cheesecake Chimichanga, Pumpkin Pie Spiced Churros, Spider & “Not So Poison Apple” Cupcakes.

Other treats and food are Wings of Fire Smoked Chicken Wings, Bread Boules, Maple Sausage-on-a-Stick, Nashville Chicken and Waffle and Oktoberfest Pizza.

Frightful Fun

At night, if you are looking for some frightful fun and dare to lurk in the shadows, Cedar Point has plenty of spooky activities to choose from! For those not looking for too many frights, guests can purchase a Boo necklace at various merchandise locations for $15.99. These let the monsters know not to scare you!

At Cedar Point’s Halloweekends, guests can brave five indoor haunted mazes and five outdoor scare zones.

Haunted Mazes include: Midnight, Blood Bath, Fearground Freak Show, Slaughter House and The Haunting of Eerie Estate. Mazes and scare zones are all clearly marked. If you prefer to stay away from those areas, other areas and attractions in the park are still open to enjoy.

Live Entertainment and Merchandise

Plenty of merchandise can be purchased at Point Plaza, Pagoda Gift Shop or Mr. Midnight’s Fear Emporium. Merchandise includes T-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, water bottles and more!

If you are looking for some live entertainment during the event, there is plenty. Live entertainment kicks off with the Opening Scarymoanies. This fun live show features Mr. Midnight and DJ Eve as they open the evening activities and summon all of the monsters for the night. My family, including my boys really enjoyed the show! At the end of the show, watch out for the monsters who will walk through the crowd on the way to deliver more scares.

DJs, stage shows and live entertainment with Echoes of the Brimstone Club with Midnight Syndicate also perform. Midnight Syndicate is a popular act you might have seen at Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios years ago.
