Ongoing Refurbishments
One of the best things about a Walt Disney World vacation can be where you are staying! There are so many properties to choose from. Not only do the resorts offer some fantastic theming that can add magic to your stay, but staying at a resort can also offer you many perks as well.
There really is no slow season at Walt Disney World anymore. Refurbishments and construction take place throughout the year. Many times these changes are minimal and at other times can affect your trip significantly. Many times special amenities, parking, and even resort rooms are affected.
Refurbishment Delayed
Many guests staying at Disney Resorts enjoy many of the great amenities that these resorts offer. When possible, Disney announces these refurbishments with ample time for guests to make alternative resort reservations if refurbishments will affect their resort stay.
Earlier Walt Disney World listed that the Fantasia Pool at Disney’s All-Star Movies would be closed for routine maintenance starting in January 2024 through April 2024. Guests were notified on the website when booking that, “Guests may see or hear construction work during daytime hours. During this time, Guests are welcome to swim in the Duck Pond Pool.”
This refurbishment is now delayed an entire year. The new start date will be January 2025 and continue through April 2025. This is great news if you and your family hope to stay at this value resort at the start of 2024. The Fantasia Pool is the large pool located near the main hall and is a guest favorite.
