We’ve been waiting so long for Dining Plans to return. And beginning today, Disney releases a new dining promotion!
Disney Dining Plans
Disney Dining Plans allowed guests to budget for meals before they actually took their vacations. This allowed guests to enjoy meals without worrying about extra expenses on their trip. Before Disney world closed for Covid-19, Disney Dining Plans were exclusively available to Disney hotel guests.
The plans were booked in advance and offered flexibility to choose many different dining locations across the Walt Disney World Resort. Now, there’s a brand-new way to get “free” dining.
New Dining Promo
This digital dining promo card works like traditional Disney gift cards, only it’s for dining.
- Your dining “money” will be loaded onto your card.
- Touch your card or Magic Band to the magic point when making a purchase.
- Your server will give you a receipt showing your updated balance.
- You can also check your balance by going to Disneygiftcard.com.

- Make dining reservations up to 60 days in advance.
- No need to carry cash around.
- Planning and budgeting in advance are simple.
- Enjoy wide variety, from fine dining to dinner with Mickey or healthy choices.
Disney is committed to offering a wide range of options for guests seeking well-balanced meals, as well as those with lifestyle dining requests or special dietary requests. Guests should note dietary requests at the time of reservation, and speak with a manager upon arrival at the dining location.
The advantage of a dollar amount instead of credits is “you can get more for your money” by choosing less expensive dining options.

Disney just released a new digital dining promo card for non-discounted room and ticket Disney World packages! To use this dining promo card, guests check in to a Disney owned resort. The Disney Dining Promo will be sent to the guest associated with reservation. If there are issues with the card, guests can visit their resorts guest services for assistance.
When booking select Disney World vacation packages, guests will receive the following promotional dining cards starting today, January 5.
Get up to a $750 Disney Dining Promo Card when you purchase a non-discounted 5-night, 4-day vacation package that includes:
- A room at a select Disney Deluxe Resort or Disney Deluxe Villa Resort
- Theme park ticket(s)

I think they should bring back the old Dining plan. We are DVC members and Have platinum tickets to the theme parks. Yet, we are not offered anything at all. We are loyal to Disney. And go almost every year. Difficult during Covid , still managed to get there. And what perks do we get very few. And not even the right to Buy the Disney Dining Plan. Show us some respect Disney ! Bring back the Dining plan !

I like the old plan better. This doesn’t help you much. I love eating at Disney and unfortunately it is pricey but the old plan helped us enjoy Disney food. We are a family that doesn’t have a lot of money.

I personally think that you should be able to purchase the dining plan that was used before Covid. Disney is so expensive to take your family anyway! I think Walt Disney wanted it to be a family friendly get away to believe in magic, and love of family and being able to enjoy it and not worry how you were going to pay for it! We came in October of 2022 for our fifty wedding anniversary. We brought our grandson and two daughters and son in law. After tickets, lodging and food we spent over 25 grand! It was so crowed we mainly just walked around and ate one meal in park. Two hour lines was ridiculous. Then we had told the front when we arrived that it was our anniversary and we booked as such. No one said a word! I was very disappointed and with the cost of everything anyway, food plans should be given us a break! The way this is set up the people who can afford the more luxury gets the most benefit! Disney isn’t a magical place for the average family who struggles to pay for the basics. It has become out of range pricing and almost just for the way upper class! Take a survey of those who have been there who are average meddle class. Or read Facebook. The majority are saying it priced itself out if our price range. We will find something else to do with our kids! So rethink the food plans and some of Other prices.
