If you’re headed to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa anytime soon, you might be excited by these new menu items! There is now a new Smoked Trout and Crab Dip offering that includes salmon roe, chive oil, and sesame seed lavosh.

This Beauty and the Beast themed lounge is also offering a Charcuterie Board, Hummus with tapenade, smoked paprika, and grilled bread, an updated Artisanal Cheese Selection, and a new version of Caviar– Siberian caviar with an egg yolk spread, creme fraiche, and more. I am most excited to try the Seasonal Flatbread! It has artichoke, fig, ricotta, roasted garlic, and watercress on top of a toasty flatbread.

Boatwright’s Dining Hall

The new menu expansion at Boatwright’s Dining Hall at Disney’s Port Orleans brings a more authentic taste to their Cajun and Southern flavored menu. Guests might enjoy the Low Country Seafood Boil that is filled with Andouille sausage shrimp, mussels, potatoes, and everyone’s current favorite vegetable- “It’s corn!” If you’re looking for a plant-based dish, the Harvest Red Beans and Rice might be the one for yoU!

These hearty Southern and Cajun inspired dishes look tasty, and I wish I could try them all right now! Blackened Prime Rib with Cajun butter and mashed potatoes was also added to the menu. If you’re hungry for a sample of all of the best the chef has to offer, you can order the Taste of the Bayou. This is an all-you-care-to-enjoy platter of smoked sausage, crispy Cajun chicken, hickory-smoked pork ribs, and barbecued beef brisket with some essential Southern sides.

Don’t leave yet! You haven’t heard about the best part of the meal – DESSERT! Guests dining at Boatwright’s Dining Hall will be able to choose from delicious desert options like Southern Cheesecake and Mississippi Mud Crème Brulee. One offers a classic vanilla cheesecake with a bourbon-caramel sauce and is topped with pecan-praline brittle. The other is a milk chocolate creme brulee with a sable breton cookie and fresh fruit.

There is a new plant-based option called Peach-Blackberry Cobbler which includes a blackberry sorbet on top of the cobbler. For the little kids in your life, they can choose to order the Row Row Oar Your Boat Sundae or the adorable looking Cookies and Milk. Lastly, there is a new cocktail called the Big Easy Whisky Sour.

The River Roost Lounge at Disney’s Port Orleans is now offering the Spinach and Artichoke Dip and the French 75. The Spinach and Artichoke Dip is a plant-based creamy dip with Cajun-dusted cornbread crostini. The French 75 is a signature alcoholic beverage that is made of Argyle Sparkling Brut, Hendricks Gin, fresh lemon juice, and pure cane sugar.

Scat Cat’s Club – Lounge at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter will be including a new plant-based dish on their menu! It is a trio of sliders called The Sassy Sassagoula Sliders. The three sliders are filled with jackfruit slaw and fried pickles, fried green tomatoes with giardiniera and pepper jelly, and a “fish” cake with spicy remoulade and arugula.

Riviera Resort

Bar Riva, at Disney’s Riviera Resort, is offering lots of new flavors inspired by French and Italian cuisine. The Burrata Salad is cheesy and includes heirloom tomatoes, fresh pesto, and focaccia bread. The Salmon with Orzo is made for salmon lovers!

The Mushroom Arancini sounds delicious with risotto, mushrooms, cheese, and truffle in a house-made marina! You might want to save room for desert with Bar Riva’s new Molten Chocolate Cake (it’s topped with a raspberry sauce AND fresh raspberries!). If you’re not a molten chocolate cake lover, you might want to try the Riviera Signature Cookie at Primo Piatto. It is packed full of semi-sweet chocolate chips, ground oats, California walnuts, toasted pistachios, and MORE!

Guests visiting Disney’s Boardwalk Inn might enjoy stopping by the Belle Vue Lounge to enjoy the new signature cocktails and zero proofs. With the holidays rolling in, guests might want to partake in the Orange Blossom Manhattan. But if you’re looking for something on the lighter side, you could try the Sparkling Hibiscus cocktail featuring Sorel Hibiscus Liqueur and sparkling grapefruit.

If you don’t drink alcoholic bevarages, don’t fret! Belle Vue Lounge will be offering the Agave Garden as a zero proof passionfruit green tea with Lyre’s Agave Reserve.

We used to eat at Disney A LOT. Not so much anymore. We are locals, so we can find extraordinary food for a fraction of the price outside of Disney. Those who want authentic New Orleans food should try Pat Obrien's at City Walk.

Exciting is stretching it. Overpriced crap perhaps.
