runDisney Princess Half Marathon weekend is coming! These medals might just be the fairest of them all!

For those who are unfamiliar with it, runDisney puts on several race events each year for runners who love Disney to enjoy! These events give those who manage to grab a spot at registration a chance to literally run through the magic as the races have routes that take them through Walt Disney World Theme Parks.
Better yet, at D23 it was announced that runDisney race events are coming back to Disneyland! You can read all about it here.
The experience is nothing short of magical. It was enough to entice this staunchly lifelong NON-runner to train for and participate in a Disney 5k! All I (Katie) can say is it was unforgettable and helped kickstart a more active lifestyle with time intentionally set aside to get moving!
Princess Marathon Weekend
This year marks the 15th anniversary of the runDisney Princess Half Marathon. The 2023 Disney Princess Half Marathon presented by Corkcicle kicks off at Walt Disney World Resort the weekend of February 23-26, 2023.
The princesses selected for this year’s race weekend are: Cinderella, Moana, Jasmine, and Belle. Not only will they adorn the medals, but members of the communities that support them will make appearances as well.
The event is always popular with runners and sells out quickly. Here is a rundown of the medals that this year’s participants can earn.
Disney Princess 5K
Princess Jasmine is the leading lady for this year’s Disney Princess 5K. This race is 3.1 magical miles.
Not only does the medal depict Jasmine, but her pals Abu, Raja, and Carpet adorn it as well. It is sure to be a popular one with the recipients.
Disney Princess 10K
Belle wants runners to be her guest for the Disney Princess 10K. This race will take participants across 6.2 miles of Disney terrain.
The prize is a medal featuring Belle. Familiar and faithful friends like Ms. Potts, Lumiere, Chip, and Cogsworth are present in the design as well.
Disney Princess Half Marathon
Moana will be celebrating the Disney Princess Half Marathon this year. The course will cover 13.1 miles.
Disney Fairytale Challenges
This year Cinderella is trading her glass slippers for running shoes to bring you the Disney Fairy Tale Challenge. This elite prize is for those racers who take on a half marathon and a 10K.
