Have you ever gotten sick or injured on vacation? We never want to believe it will happen, but unfortunately sometimes it does. No one wants to spend their vacation sick, or worse, in an emergency room because they don’t have access to a doctor. Now, a new option is available for Guests who might find themselves in need of medical care while on vacation.
Medical care while on vacation
If you’ve ever needed a doctor while on vacation in Walt Disney World, you may have found it isn’t exactly an easy process. Many Guests have either had to wait it out, or seek out an Urgent Care location or even an emergency room.
Depending on whether or not you have access to a car, this can complicate things even more!
A new medical service is coming to Walt Disney World in Florida, and Disneyland and Universal Hollywood in California. This new service will change the way Guests can seek out medical care on vacation, making the entire process more seamless!
Doctor2me is a new medical service with a team of on call doctors 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
The best part: the medical service come to you! The team can visit most hotels in Anaheim, California, or Lake Buena Vista, Florida. This takes the complicated driving situation completely out of the experience!
Offical Press Release
Doctor2me’s official press release shares all of the details.
Sickness can strike at any hour, even while on vacation, and getting to a doctor may be challenging or logistically impossible. To make access to medical treatment fast, easy, and convenient for those on vacation at Disneyland, Disney World, Universal Studios Hollywood, and Knott’s Berry Farm, Doctor2me today announced that it is bringing “doctor house calls” to hotels in these tourist destinations.
With a team of doctors on-call 24/7, a Doctor2me physician can be at most hotels in the Anaheim, Universal City (CA) and Lake Buena Vista (FL) areas, including all Disney on-site properties, within hours. Appointments can be scheduled at Doctor2me.com.
Doctor2me doctors can come directly to a hotel room, eliminating the need for tourists to find an urgent care or go to the emergency room.
Doctor2me will have specific types of doctors on staff, such as pediatricians, OB/GYNs, orthopedists, neurologists, and all other specialties, so that you can always get the appropriate kind of care. They even have telehealth available!
Doctors can send follow up services as needed, such as blood work or x-rays. The new service accepts many types of insurance plans, and patients should check with their insurance providers to verify coverage.
