The Mandalorian has been all the rage for the last several months. Everyone craves another plushie or collectible of “The Child,” whom many refer to as Baby Yoda. Disney’s Hollywood Studios has a new way to find this youngling. Here’s the details.

Disney’s Photopass service keeps the park experiences as fresh as guacamole at a Mexican restaurant. They are always adding and removing “Magic Shots” that magically appear on your My Disney Experience account.

You might find characters Tinker Bell, the Cheshire Cat, Dumbo, characters from Frozen or your Favorites from Monsters Inc. They also do a wide range of things like fairy wings, snowflakes and Mickey Ice Cream bars. You might also pose with a photo prop along your journey.

Photopass is a complimentary photographer service, but you do need Memory Maker in order to view and use your photos with no watermarks. This service is included on many Annual Passes. My Gold Annual Pass includes complimentary Magic Shots.

So, when I heard that I could get a photo with The Child, I had to take advantage of the opportunity. After a bit of asking around, I learned that the photo is only offered at the entrance to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge as it comes in from Toy Story Land.

The photographer is usually located under one of the umbrellas and stands near the rock wall. The guests in front of me did not request the magic, and they merely had photos of Galaxy’s Edge behind them as they posed.

When I asked if it was possible to make “The Child” appear in my photo, the photographer made a funny joke about it taking up to 9 months to occur. I clarified that I was hoping to find “The Child” from the Mandalorian. He asked me to pose next to the rock wall.

My first pose was a traditional strong man pose with my arms crossed while looking at the photographer. I expected this to only be a photo of me with a rock in the background.

My second pose was similar, but he used a hand gesture to demonstrate the area I should be focused upon.

My third pose was of me pointing down at “The Child.”

I think the photos turned out pretty well and it’s nice to have “The Child” in my photo memories now. Maybe I should have brought some chickie nuggies and chocky milk with me?

I’ve added this Magic Shot to Character Locator. You can find the many different opportunities that you might find in the parks to the Extras tabs!

Do you like my Star Wars face mask? My wife made it for me :) Feel free to ask me any questions, I’d be happy to help!

Dude, You cast a rectangular shadow? Haha, that's so awesome. They needed to match baby Yoda's shadow to yours in shade though.

Good job Kenny the pirate! We have enjoyed your posts and you have been spot on in your recommendations!! Let your readers know about the droid that zooms in the galaxy’s edge as well as in magic kingdom. There are only two complete zoom in and out photos in the 4 parks. You get to see yourself/group and what the park looks like the exact moment you are there.
