Disney After Hours events added for Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom

The popular Disney After Hours special ticket events have added additional dates for the Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

This popular event costs $125 per event per person and offers up to 5 hours of park time, with 3 of the hours being exclusive to the special event guests.  Rides are offered with little or no waiting, especially as the event continues late into the evening.  You also receive ice cream novelties, soda, water and popcorn at no additional charge.

There are no special characters at these events, but there are some Princesses and Mickey and Minnie meet in Animal Kingdom.

  1. We will be at AK on 11/13, which according to your crowd calendar is a “green” low crowd day. I logged on at 6:00 a.m. CST this morning for fastpasses and Flight of Passage, Everest and Safari were all gone, which surprised me tremendously. Would we be wise to change plans and spend the day at a different park and then purchase tickets for the AK After Hours event that night to ensure we get to ride the most popular attractions? Just shocked at the lack of FP+ availability on a day deemed as “green” Thank you so much in advance for your advice and insights.

      1. OK, so it’s the best park to visit, but there aren’t any FP+ available for the top 3 attractions. Better to attend the nighttime event at AK than go during the day?

  2. What are typical wait times in the magic kingdom in August for the event? Is it possible to get in earlier than 8 with an actual 10pm close?

  3. Sure wish Disney would release” extra magic hrs after dark” dates sooner. Hard to plan meal reservations 180 day out when dont know extra magic dates . Oh well…..

  4. Do you anticipate these events to be more crowded than in years past? We did the MK After Hours in August of last year and it was amazing! Contemplating the MK event on January 6, 2020 but I am concerned we would find it much more crowded than our previous experience. Thoughts?

  5. Since the event dates just came out for magic kingdom and animal kingdom, is it likely more will come out for the other parks in the next few weeks?

  6. Do these tickets typically go very quickly?
We will be there in February and wondering if it’s a MUST to buy them right away?

What do you think?
