While this test is anticipated to last up to two weeks, it is subject to change, and his appearances will be unadvertised to Guests through My Disney Experience or the Magic Kingdom Times Guide.
“Flynn Rider is on the run throughout Fantasyland. We just never know when or where he will show up. He can’t stop for autographs, but keep your eye open and you may get to snap a picture of him on the run.”
They need to have a spot for Flynn the way they made one for Gaston. Gaston is a huge hit with guests and he draws a crowd with his humor. To me, it’s a no brainer to have Flynn as well. Girls, boys and parents alike love him!
Any word if they are extending the Flynn sightings? Leaving in 2 weeks and will be at MK for five days straight. I hope to report a sighting of our own!
Not at this time
We saw him on July 22 right in front of the Winnie the Pooh ride. We were waiting to meet Pooh and Tigger when Flynn came right up behind us and was trying to get everyone to follow him in an impromptu parade. I snapped a few quick pictures, but he didn’t stop for autographs or pictures with anyone. He interacted with people a little. Just seemed real random.
Thanks for the update
where did that statement no photo or autos from.
It seems like a tease. He is already in the parade, so what is the point? I don’t like it.
No photos or autos why even bother then bringing him out
I feel as though they are doing this testing to try to see guests reactions and ease annual passholders and certain tourists into the idea of roaming characters like disneyland has. Its unfortunate that he isnt stopping for now, but maybe once people become used to him around and not mobbing or stalking him, he will occasionally sign and photo
I find it strange. I think my daughter would be very excited to see Flynn but I will have a tough time explaining to her why he wont stop to sign her book because everyone else does. I know change can sometimes be good but some people dont go to Disney very often and this change might not be a positive one.
Could this be to prepare for the MNSSHP possibly? It would be great to see him there again.
I don’t understand this….why would you just have him wondering around and not meeting people?
So excited going on Monday so we will see what happens
They did a similar test with the Star Wars rebels last weekend. They where on a mission and just ask guest to go random stuff to get away from a bounty hunter or steal something from stormtroopers
Thanks for the heads up, Kenny! Sounds like a ***surprise and delight** plan :)
Most people will not understand why he cannot stop “just this once, for their child who loves him”. Disney is usually very accommodating, so feelings might get hurt.
seems to very similar to what they do at Star Wars Weekend with the characters in the back area of the park. I really enjoy that part of Star Wars Weekend
No, the Star Wars characters would all pose for photos and many would even sign autographs.
