Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Press “Sneak Peek” will create some scheduling changes for the Magic Kingdom

For a stress-free Disney or Universal Studios vacation, let the FREE expert planners at Royal Carriage Vacations take care of every detail including dining reservations, applying discounts, and onboard cruise credit.

This week the “media” will receive a special “sneak peek” at the new Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.  These events are usually referred to as a “Grand opening,” so it could mean that the rumors are true that the new ride’s opening may be delayed until later this spring.

As a part of this sneak peek, the members of the “media” will be visiting the Magic Kingdom May 1 and 2 to learn about the new ride and get some tours and special parties.  As a result of these events, parts of New Fantasyland may close early or experience a delayed opening to regular ticketed guests.

May 1, closing at 5:00pm:  Ariel’s Grotto, Bonjour! Village Gifts, Gaston’s Tavern, Hundred Acre Goods and Storybook Treats. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid

May 2, opening at 11:00am:  Big Top Souvenirs, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Pete’s Silly Sideshow, The Barnstormer and Tomorrowland Speedway.

May 2 opening at 1:00pm: Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor.

When I asked when the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train will open, I received this boiler plate reply:

“We are putting the finishing touches on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and look forward to all our Guests being able to experience it later this spring when it officially opens.”
