House of Blues Hits the Right Notes – A Flavorful Experience!

Disney Springs has lots of options when you are looking for a meal. I visited House of Blues in Disney Springs on my most recent visit, and it was worth the stop! Enjoy a flavorful review with me.

Disney Springs is a fun place to dine, shop, and play! Here you can find almost anything! You will find some of the best restaurants and shops. There are 93 places to shop, 70 places to eat, and 26 places to play (attractions, shows, and events).

Disney Springs is free to visit, and the parking is free too!

Traveling from a Disney World Hotel? Disney World Resort Hotels offer complimentary transportation. I (Heather) love to visit Disney Springs for a little shopping, food, and fun.

The House of Blues Restaurant and Bar is located on the West Side at Disney Springs. You will find it near Cirque du Soleil.

The menu features American cuisine with a New Orleans twist. The menu is filled with delicious options from appetizers, salads, handheld burgers and sandwiches, and BBQ classics. There is even a weekend brunch on Saturdays and Sundays that is served from 10 am to 2 pm.

Diners can enjoy seating outdoors with a seat-yourself option, or dine inside and be seated by the host. Reservations are accepted for inside the restaurant. Reservations can be made on the House of Blues website or the My Disney Experience app.

There is also a quick service option, The Smokehouse, which offers quick BBQ bites. It is located in front of the Restaurant and Bar.

Live Music

Live music is offered both inside and outside the restaurant. If you were looking for a quiet meal, this may not be the place for you. However, if you are looking for great music, a fun atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food, then this is your place.

The live music kept the diners engaged. The band sang popular songs and even got the crowd to dance. It made the dining experience about more than just food!

Did you know there is also a Music Hall? Well-known artists, like Shaboozey and The Fray, are scheduled to perform later this year! These concerts are hard-ticketed events, and tickets can be purchased on the House of Blues website.

Cocktail

The restaurant offered several specialty beverages. I opted for the Front Porch Punch. This cocktail featured Southern Comfort, Peach Schnapps, Blackberry Brandy, Crème de Banana, fresh Orange Juice, and Pineapple.

It was sweet, smooth, and refreshing. Perfect for the unseasonably warm weather Disney was experiencing during my visit.

Appetizers

I opted for the BBQ Nachos and added on pulled pork. This was a hearty portion and is perfect for sharing. The tortilla chips were topped with cheddar cheese, avocado, corn salsa, pickled red onion, and cotija cheese. The pulled pork was an additional charge of $5, but it was worth it!

The nacho toppings were layered throughout, so there were no empty and plain chips here! The flavors all worked well together, and the gooey cheese was perfect!

The BBQ Nachos and the Jalapeno Cornbread are both delicious and perfect shareable appetizers!

I also chose the Jalapeno Cornbread with Bourbon Butter. Even with this cornbread featuring jalapenos, it was not overly spicy. It added flavor without added heat. The Bourbon butter was savory and creamy and offered a rich buttery taste. I feel it was the perfect addition to the Jalapeno Cornbread. The cornbread was also another perfect shareable appetizer!

Entree

I knew I wanted to try something that you can't always find around Walt Disney World. I chose the Shrimp Po'Boy. This featured fried Cajun shrimp, French bread, spiced remoulade, lettuce, dill pickle, and tomato. Fries and a charred lemon are served alongside the sandwich.

This sandwich packed lots of flavor. The shrimp were tender and juicy, with breading that added the perfect crunch. The sub roll was the perfect choice for this sandwich and was toasted to perfection. Bread choice can make or break a sandwich, and you also need to have the perfect bread-to-meat ratio. This sandwich checked all the boxes.

The spiced remoulade added spice and flavor, with the sliced tomatoes offering a bright freshness. With so much on the menu, I would want to try something new on my visit. However, this sandwich was so good that it would be hard not to get it again!

Final Thoughts

We ended up here by chance due to our previous plans falling through. I am so happy that this is where we ended up because it was a delicious and fun spot. The vibe and food were perfect, and I can't wait to return.

The only thing I wanted to try was the dessert. The Bread Pudding with Bourbon butter and toffee sauce sounded amazing! However, I was so full I couldn't take another bite. Portions are plentiful here, so if you want appetizers, entrees, and dessert, then it may be beneficial to share items, so you have enough room for dessert.

Reservations can be easy to get as this restaurant is big. When I visited, reservations were not necessary, but it may be a good idea if you have a larger party or do not want to wait. I enjoyed the outdoor seating and live music, making it a different vibe than other restaurants you may visit at Disney World.

The menu is full of options for even picky eaters, so there is something for everyone. I enjoyed The House of Blues Restaurant & Bar and will be back to enjoy even more of their delicious food and beverages!
