Disney's World's Surprising Single Rider Rule
We thought we knew all of the rules and offerings for single rider lines at Walt Disney World, but this rule was new to us. Don't let this put a damper on your next Walt Disney World vacation.
Single Rider Lines at Disney World

Single rider lines are separate lines in select attractions for those traveling solo or not mind riding the attraction with the rest of their party. Basically, single riders get squeezed in wherever there is a seat available. Typically, the line is much shorter than the regular standby queue, which means less waiting around in line!
Attractions at Disney World that utilize single-rider access include Expedition Everest, Test Track, Rock 'n' Rollercoaster, Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, and Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run. Occasionally, Soarin' offers a single rider line with higher crowds.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance occasionally offers a single-rider line. When testing first began, the experience was compromised. See the new and improved change for this queue HERE.
Surprising Single Rider Rule

Many guests question which attractions are affected during the many rainstorms at Walt Disney World. EPCOT typically is a great park for a rainy day, as many of its attractions are located indoors.
Last week, we were caught in a heavy rainstorm as we journeyed along the World Showcase. We chose to head towards the France pavilion to join the Single Rider at Remy's Ratatouille Adventure.
A Cast Member informed us that the Single Rider line closes for Remy's Ratatouille Adventure during heavy rainstorms. The reason given was that they try to limit the length of the outside queue for guests in this line.

While we appreciate the work that Cast Members do to keep guest satisfaction high and to help keep guests safe, this rule still puzzles us. Since there are three seats available on the front and also three seats available on the back row, the single rider line helps to use all available seats.

If you experience rain during your next trip to EPCOT, you may want to rethink heading towards Remy's Ratatouille Adventure.
