With people buying MagicBand+ like crazy this morning, don’t be in a rush to get rid of that box too quick. Check out why here…
Purchasing Online
The new MagicBand+ will light up and even vibrate depending on where you are located in the Parks. Guests can even have a whole new experience in Batuu as a Bounty Hunter!
The MagicBand+ will be on sale today at 10 A.M. ET, but Annual Passholders and Disney Resort guests (pre-arrival) are now able to make selections as of early this morning. Be sure to check out the special pricing and all of the great design choices HERE.
Purchasing in Person
Many guests visiting Walt Disney World today were lining up early not for an attraction, but to purchase the new MagicBand+. Our very own KtP writer, Jamie, is visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom this morning. The line was quickly forming at Riverside Depot at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Linking Band
Check out a sneak peek of the new MagicBand+ HERE. To link the band, take a picture of the back of it to link. Then, select which you want it linked. Third, it asks you to turn on your bluetooth. Finally, you will be prompted to update the band, similar to a phone update. This should take 3-5 minutes. And, you’re on your way. But hold on, keep that box just a little longer.
Charging Location
Take a look at the picture above to see the charging location. It’s the 2 dots directly below the thumb.
Don’t Toss the Box
The major mistake people are making this morning is throwing away the box without realizing the charger is at the back of the box. Per Disney, this charge lasts 1-3 days. Please take the charger out of it before tossing it!
Warning: Check the back of the box to retrieve the charger before tossing the box!
We hope this helps you slow down a bit and find the charger. What are your thoughts on these new MagicBand+? Will you purchase one, or stick with the MagicBand2? Please let us know in the comments below or on the Kenny the Pirate Facebook page.

I bought them for my family this morning. I think they are cool and I'm all about the gimicky stuff. I just can't help it! I ordered a bunch of new Disney t-shirts too. It's just something that I find fun and consider it a part of the trip's cost. I'm excited to try the new bands on our next trip!

I will wait till the old ones are no longer working. Nothing about the new ones makes me want to shell out money.

I honestly am not sure yet. I think I will wait . We don't have a trip planned yet . So they could still make changes to them before we return .
