Meeting Darth Vader and Darth Maul at Star Wars Weekends

I think Darth Maul is one of the coolest bad guys in movie history.  I was raised with Darth Vader as a key figure in my childhood and saw him as a great bad guy, but Darth Maul exceeded that in Episode 1.  I hated to see him get bumped off so quickly.  His makeup is intimidating and his posture is dominating.  I had to meet him twice to see if I could get a decent photo.  I think next time I 'll just ask for a close up to get the makeup in better detail.

I was trying to go with the force push look, but it came off kinda surfer like.  I had just met Stitch earlier and must still be in that mode.  Let's look at it as Surf Force.  It only works on the weak minded anyway.

On Sunday of Weekend One I decided to test the line for Darth Vader to see how long people were actually waiting.  I got in line a little after 8:00am and the line was about ¾ full.  I waited 38 minutes and observed one rotation that took about 8 of those minutes.  If the line is full, you will wait at least 45 minutes.  If the line is overflowing, count on one hour or more.

  1. My daughter loves Princess Leai and Luke. Are they available all day? I thought I saw something that said just after 4pm

  2. I'm trying to understand the Star Wars character meet and greets during SW Weekend. Are there certain characters where you need a wrist band (e.g. celebrities) and must wait in line at the front gate for? Are those just celebrities? Do you need a wrist band or ticket to meet most normal costumed SW characters (e.g. Darth Vader/Maul, Jedis)? Going for the first time this year and don't want to make the kids wait in a long line if no need. Thank you!

    1. Only real life celebrites need the wristband. It's spelled out under the Celebrities tab.
